Oprah Winfrey ‘s $6.8 million ranch in Montecito

Promised Land
Oprah Winfrey is adding to her real estate portfolio! After buying a cottage in Colorado, the famous host has just acquired this vast ranch. Located in Montecito (California), this house is the former property of Jeff Bridges. As for the size of the ranch, the president of Harpo Productions has a base of 60 acres (24 hectares). In fact, the property – known as “Promised Land” – spans four acres with five separate structures. For example, this beautiful Spanish Revival-style complex features an equestrian facility, a swimming pool and lush gardens.

The expansive grounds include five structures, a main house – originally designed by famed architect James Osborne Craig – a guest house, a pool house, a shed and a fenced stable.

High vaulted ceilings are a prominent feature of this living area where a mix of neutral hues, wood and blue create a refreshing space.

The user-friendly kitchen features rich wood cabinetry and is equipped with new appliances, quartz countertops and a spacious center island.

Wrapped in a fresh and soothing color palette, the master bedroom is the perfect place for the media queen to rest and recharge. Rustic beams and sumptuous linens create a soothing sleeping sanctuary.

A pool surrounded by beautiful oak trees provides an inspiring place to relax and sunbathe.

No ranch is complete without a fenced stable with five stalls and a tack room.

The beautiful grounds feature a European-inspired tiled courtyard and a fountain reminiscent of Italian villas.

Naturally, the majestic park has stables to house all of Oprah Winfrey’s ponies.

A guest house is ideal for entertaining her best friend Gayle King or family who may be visiting.

Natural light sprays, a touch of texture and traditional decor give the dining room a lot of charm.

Sliding glass doors allow easy access from the open and airy office to the pool for a mid-day swim.
